WITHOUT BEING ASKED
WITHOUT BEING ASKED
If you have not already done so for those in today’s “2 or 3 with Jesus Meeting”, read to them the Main description of what these meetings are all about before moving on.

The host of the “2 or 3 with Jesus Meeting” leads off by saying:
“In this meeting let’s eat some goodies and put our heads together to stimulate more change into the image of Jesus Christ. In so doing, we will be cooperating with the work of the Holy Spirit to effect God’s purpose for our lives which Romans 8:29 states is to be conformed to the image of his Son. At the same time we will be preparing to experience heaven for eternity at a higher level. In brainstorming how we are to forgive one another without being asked we can see ways to grow our spirits, the deepest part of who we are, to be more like Jesus.
Hopefully, we have all listened to “Forgive One Another Without Being Asked” at HeavenBeckons.com.
These are some of the possible benefits in heaven we will be seeking today by opening our minds to the Holy Spirit regarding forgiving one another without being asked.

Since forgiving others requires the humility to see ourselves as also not being without sin and worthy of heaven, we will have a greater appreciation for being admitted to heaven.
Realizing more fully that we are going to heaven only because of God’s grace and that we do not deserve to go there by our own doing, we will see everything in heaven as gifts of God’ grace. This recognition comes to us the more we truly forgive others by recognizing that we are sinners too. Thus, we will have less self-satisfaction and more appreciation for our salvation and greater joy forever. Because God will have joy from our wonder and delight in being in heaven, we will deepen our relationship with God in heaven for all eternity. |
We want our meeting to be safe and enjoyable. At other times and circumstances it might be appropriate for in-depth discussion, even loving confrontation. But these Matthew 18:20 Meetings are meant to listen to Jesus through the work of the Holy Spirit. Discussion is discouraged and expressed disagreement not helpful. What we each say needs to be uncensored so that the Holy Spirit can speak to one of us or all of us. This is somewhat like making a list of what all the foods we can prepare for a holiday dinner, but not deciding and letting time tell us what will be good.
Hopefully, many things we say and write down will urge us to Christlike change in our thinking, feelings and actions after we leave the meeting. We can each leave here to pray, hear specifically in our spirits from the Holy Spirit, and seek help from some of those in our Christian Inner Circle.
